Re-p0st from Earth Heal
Please take action wherever you are, and support the many campaigns taking place around the world to Free Palestine.
Tell Facebook to end its collaboration with Israel’s regime of censorship, repression and political imprisonment, and demand the freedom of Palestinians detained for their posts on social media!
We urge the importance of continued mobilization and action in support of Palestinian prisoners, particularly the current hunger strikers, all protesting administrative detention without charge or trial – and for continued mobilization in support of the action of all of the Palestinian prisoners, struggling for freedom from Israeli imprisonment, and for freedom and liberation for the Palestinian people throughout Palestine.
Global actions in support of Palestine are updated weekly in our calendar below.
If an action you know about is not listed, please email earthhealadmin [at] gmail [dot] com to have it posted here.
The longest-serving Palestinian political prisoner, Nael Barghouti, 59, continues to be held despite having finished his latest sentence of 30 months, which was issued based on secret information, on December 17. More info.

Take Action: Ahmad Abu Fara and Anas Shadid on 47th day of hunger strike, shackled to hospital beds
Palestinian hunger striker Ahmad Abu Fara, 29, is facing a critical health situation after 47 days of hunger strike. Held shackled to his hospital bed in Assaf Harofeh hospital, he has developed a problem pumping blood from his heart. Abu Fara is on hunger strike alongside Anas Shadid, 19. Both have refused food since 25 September in protest of their administrative detention, imprisonment without charge or trial, and are demanding their immediate release.
Stop Eviction of One Hundred Year Old Israeli Bedouin Musa Hussein
Umm al Hiran, a Bedouin village located within Israel, is being bulldozed so that a new all-Jewish town called “Hiran” can be built on the rubble. The villagers been given an eviction notice set to take effect January 15th. Residents of Umm al-Hiran, a village considered “unrecognized” even though the Israeli government relocated the village to its current location in 1956, are asking for a freezing of the eviction notice, until a fair and reasonable solution can be reached.
Remove Mark Regev as Israeli Ambassador to the UK for interfering in British politics
For some time now the Israel lobby has held undue influence over British politics. A large part of the raison d’être of the Labour Party has always been equality and the fight against racism. It was no coincidence that the “anti-Semitism crisis” in the Labour Party coincided with the appointment of a hardcore Zionist to the role of Israeli Ambassador to the UK. Since then the baseless smears and slurs against Jeremy Corbyn have been relentlessly orchestrated by the Israeli Embassy and the Labour Friends of Israel…
Take Action: Demand release of detained Palestinian human rights defender and BDS leader Salah Khawaja #FreeSalah
Palestinian human rights defender and Secretary of the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee Salah Khawaja remains imprisoned and denied access to a lawyer at the Petah Tikva interrogation center. Khawaja, 46, a leading member of the Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign (Stop the Wall) and BDS leader, has been detained under interrogation since 26 October, when he was seized in a violent pre-dawn military raid on his home.
Take Action: Demand freedom for 6 Palestinian prisoners in Palestinian Authority jails on hunger strike
Six Palestinian youth, arrested as part of the Palestinian Authority’s “security cooperation” with the Israeli occupation, are currently on hunger strike and imprisoned in the PA’s Beitunia jail, demanding their freedom. Basil al-Araj, Mohammed Harb, Haitham Siyaj, Mohammed al-Salamen, Ali Dar al-Sheikh and Seif al-Idrissi have all been held by the Palestinian Authority’s intelligence agencies since late March and early April 2016. Their detention has been extended repeatedly and indefinitely and their lawyers and families are now urging international action and solidarity for their freedom.
#NoDAPL: Stand with Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline
Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network expresses its strongest support for the Sioux nation and Native resistance in confronting the Dakota Access Pipeline and defending indigenous land from ongoing threats and attacks on the land and environment. We stand in solidarity with the Camp of the Sacred Stones, the 2,200-mile run by indigenous youth and all other ongoing efforts to stop the pipeline and similar destructive projects.
Take Action: Stop deep ICRC cuts to Palestinian prisoners’ family visits!
Take Action: Sami Janazrah hospitalized on 52nd day of hunger strike – Free Palestinian Prisoners
Petition: civil liberties in Europe under threat with government attacks on BDS
Enough with the criminalisation of the BDS movement for justice in Palestine! – let’s support right2BDS!
Why this is important:
The French High Court has upheld the conviction of activists who called for the boycott of Israeli products.
The British government is implementing a new set of rules that will make it harder for local councils and other public bodies including universities to make ethical procurement or investment decisions.
The Israeli Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz said at the largest Israeli anti-BDS conference, held on March 28 in Jerusalem, that Israel should engage in “targeted civil eliminations” of BDS “leaders” with the help of Israeli intelligence.
All over the world, non-violent grassroots activists are under threat!
The Campaign to #FreeAhmadManasrah, the 13-year-old Palestinian boy who was shot, abused by settlers from police, and is facing trial in an Israeli military court, has launched a new website: http://freeahmadmanasrah.com/
The Global Campaign to #FreeAhmadManasrah is inviting you to speak up and raise your voice for justice by tweeting with us on Twitter and Posting Facebook, every Monday at 09:00 PM Jerusalem time, 2PM EST time, using this hashtag #FreeAhmadManasrah
Call on the EU to end its contracts with G4S!
G4S is a private security company that provides services and equipment to Israeli occupation prisons at which Palestinian political prisoners, including children, are held without trial and tortured. G4S also provides equipment and services to checkpoints in the separation wall, ruled illegal by the International Court of Justice in 2004.
CATSA – Drop G4S, Don’t Support War Crimes in Palestine!
With numerous other security options available, it’s time for CATSA to side with human rights and a just and lasting peace and cancel their contract with G4S. Join us in telling CATSA to “Drop G4S, Don’t Support War Crimes in Palestine”!
French-Palestinian former prisoner in Israeli jails, Salah Hamouri, was finally freed in 2011 after lengthy campaigns in France and Palestine calling for his freedom. Since his release from prison, Hamouri has been repeatedly targeted by the Israeli occupation, including being banned from the West Bank as he completed law studies in Ramallah. Now, his pregnant wife – and their soon-to-be-born child – are facing expulsion from Palestine and denial of Jerusalem residency.
The Palestinian Circus School has issued a call for action for Mohammed Abu Sakha, a trainer/performer at the school, who was issued an administrative detention order for imprisonment without charge or trial by the Israeli military courts. In mid-June 2016 he was ordered to another six months imprisonment without charge or trial. Follow updates on Mohammed’s case at their site: http://www.palcircus.ps/en/content/freeabusakha-trainer-and-performer-palestinian-circus-school
Protect local democracy in the UK
The UK government has proposed changes to the way local authorities in England and Wales invest their members’ pension funds. Under the plans, central government would have the power to veto investment decisions made by democratically elected local authorities. This is an attack on local democracy. The government consultation ends on 19 February. Make your voice heard today!
Take Action: Demand Canadian officials condemn Israeli violence against civilians, including artist Rehab Nazzal
A number of Canadian media outlets have covered the shooting of Palestinian-Canadian artist, researcher and PhD student Rehab Nazzal by an Israeli occupation military sniper in Bethlehem, in the West Bank of Palestine, as she photographed a “skunk” truck spraying noxious substances.
Despite the public attention to the shooting of Nazzal by military occupation forces, the Canadian government has remained silent. The Canadian state has long been deeply allied with and supportive of the Zionist movement and the Israeli state.
Take Action: Demand release of Muhammad Allan and Uday Isteiti, hunger striking detainees
Two Palestinians held in Israeli administrative detention without charge or trial, Muhammad Allan and Uday Isteiti, are now on hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention and demanding their release.
Take Action: Letter and fax campaign to free Amer Jubran, unjustly imprisoned in Jordan!
Palestinian activist Amer Jubran – with a long history of activism and leadership, and repression and deportation by the U.S. government – is now facing 10 years in Jordanian prison after a conviction on dubious evidence in an unfair trial with no due process, after charges of helping the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance.
Call on the UN Security Council to Impose Sanctions on Israel Until it Lifts the Siege
The eight-year siege has sealed Gaza off from the world by land, air and sea, forbidding entry of desperately needed medical supplies, reconstruction materials, and many other goods. 90% of the water is undrinkable and water is expected to run out entirely by 2020.
This siege, which Israel does not formally acknowledge, is illegal.
Shireen Issawi support campaign: Photos demand freedom for Shireen
An organization, Roots To Resistance is currently engaged in a Grassroots Global Sign Campaign to Demand Justice for jailed Palestinian Human Rights Lawyer Shireen Issawi. The group is working with the Alkarama Foundation and the Issawi Family and partnering with Truthout to bring this photo montage of signs and voices to the social media airwaves and the powers that be here in the US.
We need more faces, signs and voices from across the globe.
The #BoycottCoke campaign
With every single penny you spend on Coca-Cola, you are indirectly contributing to Israel’s crimes.
Coca-Cola supports Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people, and crimes against other people across the world. Close Coca-Cola Factories in Occupied Palestine NOW!
Join the campaign on Facebook.
The Boycott Pledge
The boycott of Israeli goods and the campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) more generally are a key form of peaceful international pressure on Israel. Israel continues to build illegal settlements and the wall, controls Gaza, denies Palestinian refugees their right to return, grows produce and sets up industrial zones on stolen Palestinian land. Only international pressure can deliver a just peace for Palestinians.
